The Atlantis Dapper Stappers showcased their grit and determination, winning an array of medals across several categories at the SAPS-WP Endurance Walk held in Limpopo covering an impressive 75 km over two days, 24-25 July.
In total, they brought three gold, two silver and two bronze medals home, an achievement that placed the team third overall in the competition.
Leading the charge, Wendy Basson and WO Murray de Kock teamed up in the Master Mix category, where their outstanding performance earned them a coveted gold medal.
In the single walkers’ category, Sgt Samantha Daniels and Const Charlton du Preez put in a powerful showing and proudly walked away with silver medals. Meanwhile, Const Zola Nero, competing in the Veteran Women’s category, secured a hard-fought bronze medal.
The remarkable results are a testament to the endurance, dedication and team spirit of the Atlantis Dapper Stappers, who continue to inspire with their commitment to excellence, according to team manager Rodney Roos.
It is worth noting that endurance walking is a non-funded sport, with all expenses covered by the walkers themselves.
The team welcomes any form of sponsorship or donations to support their efforts.
