Quewin Botha is only 11 years old yet he is already taking on the “big guns” in the golfing arena.

The young member of Atlantis Golf Club, is already a member of the SA Golf Development Boards golf programme and a card carrying member of the South African Golf Association.

Under the leadership of coach Shawn Conrad, Quewin has developed a good work ethic, great strength of character and also sound moral values, which are continuously enhanced at Parkview Primary, where he is a Grade 6 learner.

According to school principal Waldie Kastoor, the young athlete’s achievements can be attributed to hard work, lots of practice and sheer dedication.

Quewin has improved from a high 20+ handicap down to his 16 handicap. He played in the following golfing competitions this year and fared extremely well in every one. Quewin has now been selected to represent Western Province to play in the SA Boys u/13 at Koro Creek Golf Estate in Limpopo from 2 to 4 October.

He urgently requires sponsorship for a pair of size-4 golf shoes as well as casual clothes and pocket money. He lives with his grandfather, a pensioner, who is in no position to assist.

Any sponsorship to make Quewin’s dream come true will be highly appreciated. Feel free to contact the school for any donations.
