Fourteen entrants – who beat out more than 330 hopefuls – have been named as regional qualifiers at the final Miss South Africa 2018 regional auditions recently held at Carnival City, Johannesburg.
Among the roses is the special West Coast flower from Atlantis, Chanté Holloway (23).
Originally from Atlantis and now residing in Johannesburg, Holloway studied at the New York Film Academy and works as an actress and model. Holloway was named one of the region’s most beautiful in the Miss South Africa roadshow. Fourteen contestants made it to the competition’s top 28, who now stand a chance to make it to the top 12, who will be announced on 3 May.
The judges are Liesl Laurie (radio personality and Miss South Africa 2015), Bokang Montjane (Miss South Africa 2010), radio presenter and TV personality Anele Mdoda, Suzette van der Merwe (Miss South Africa 1990 and Cell C’s representative at the Miss South Africa organisation) and Gareth Flusk (Sun International and the Miss SA organisation).
Miss South Africa 2018 will be crowned on 27 May at the pageant’s diamond jubilee, to be held at Sun International’s new flagship Time Square Sun Arena in Pretoria. The winner will take the crown and more than R2 million in prizes.
