The sands of time to be a pupil are surely running out. The end is in sight. You can see it, you can feel it. Are you excited or nostalgic? It is a human reaction. The past you have experienced, the future is an unknown reality. Preparing for the future is always going to be a challenge. Thorough preparation and goal setting are of utmost importance.
In the Bible it says: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and teaching.”- Proverbs 1:7.
Here are a few guidelines as you enter the next phase of your life.

You were prepared to burn the midnight oil. Thorough preparation was of paramount importance. Your focus was solely on your final examination. Nothing is more important than making sure no question has caught you unprepared. What is done is done. Now, you need to plan your future with a positive attitude. Enlarge your vision. Believe that the best is yet to come. See yourself as a winner. In order to be successful, you need to plan for success and be aware of the potential locked up inside you. Be prepared to work very hard and diligently. The road to success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration. You must sweat it out.

Don’t stress about it. Remember, if other people could do it, so can you X even better.
Choose your friends wisely. No one goes through life alone. You are surrounded by family and friends. You cannot choose your family, but you have a choice in selecting your friends X make intelligent choices. When choosing friends, find people who add value to your life. Do your parents or guardians approve of them? It not, then you need to consider this aspect very carefully.
It will be worth the while to seek the advice and opinion of somebody who is older and wiser than you and no-one fits the bill better than a loving and objective parent.
Be smart. Make wise decisions. If you are uncertain about a particular issue, wait. Do not make hasty decisions, it could prove can be costly.
Be proud of who you are. Do not allow anyone to influence you negatively. Dream big and widen your vision. Get out of the small pond that keeps you down and experience the ocean of possibilities around you. Make wise and intelligent choices and do not allow anyone to “SPIKE” you and take your dreams away.
