More than 18 000 km in 19 days for charity.
Learners from Mamre Primary, Movers and Shakers Fitness Club and community members joined Willie Richards on Tuesday 31 October for the last leg of his journey from Blouberg in Namibia to Bloubergstrand.
Richards started his odyssey on 13 October, cycling and running, to raise funds and create awareness for African Tails, a non-profit organisation’s Mass Sterilisation campaign.
African Tails has been running a mass sterilisation campaign, #MendingMamre, in partnership with Four Paws. The goal is not only to sterilise, but also to educate and uplift through animal care, with a thousand animals having been sterilised since its commencement in February. All funds raised through the #whereswillie campaign will go directly towards funding #mendingMamre. Donations can be made until end of December at www.givengain.com/cc/whereswillie.
