Picnic In Pella is an initiative aimed at bringing live entertainment to the area.
Marketed as a musical sundowner, it takes place at the majestic Manresa Katzenberg Resort in Pella.
Aside from its picturesque view and landscape, the venue is also notable for being more than 100 years old.
The principal house on the premises is believed to have been built around 1827.
The resort has played host to many artists in the past and is the property of legendary musician Cass Isaacs.
In his heyday, he was the owner of various well-known Cape Town club venues.
After moving to Manresa Katzenberg Estate, Isaacs employed his artistic and design eye, and turned the place into an international entertainment venue and destination.
On 2 December, the estate will host the Picnic In Pella musical sundowner, featuring the likes of maestro Brent Krus, Vuvu Kumalo, John Heart, D’s Choice, Hilton April, Jazzy Jerome Maker and the energetic Franky Souldeep, with Cass Isaacs as guest artist.
